What's the best way to buy MATIC?
We recommend using https://www.kraken.com/
Purchasing MATIC from Kraken lets you send MATIC straight to Polygon Mainnet, as opposed to Coinbase which will send the MATIC to Ethereum Mainnet, thus requiring you to then bridge the MATIC over to Polygon Mainnet.
So use please Kraken to make your life easier!
What happens to the funds if there are no winners?
Unclaimed funds automatically carry over to the next game, enhancing the prize pool.
Where does the pool MATIC come from?
Just like a normal Lottery, the pool amount is derived from ticket sales purchased by players. When a ticket is bought, the MATIC is automatically sent to the Degen or Bust smart contract and will be reflected on chain instantly.
Can you guys withdraw money from the pool?
Degen Or Bust is a custodial protocol due to the nature of the game, we don't want a situation where a winner is unable to claim their winnings, and as such leaves a large sum of MATIC to go to waste. All deposits are conducted automatically by the smart contract, but withdrawals can be manually triggered. This is needed to ensure the winner's funds go to the intended wallet they wish.
How are winners chosen, what makes it fair and can the numbers be rigged?
Degen or Bust relies on ChainLink VRF (Verifiably Random Function). ChainLink VRF ensures that the winning number combinations are chosen in a verifiably random way that's provable on chain, this process is 100% tamper-proof to ensure game integrity. We knew going into this that we needed a way to prove the game's integrity, ChainLink VRF solves this for us.
Is there an audit on the smart contract?
There isn't one as of yet as we're stilling making changes to the code, but there will be one out done by Assure DeFi prior to launch that will be available for everyone to see.
How are the Lucky Mfer & Super Lucky Mfers chosen?
SLMF and LMF selections are chosen by Chainlink VRF. Only holders of a Degen NFT will be able to be selected to be a SLMF however.
Is there an advantage to owning a Degen NFT?
Yes, the Degen NFT allows you to submit multiple free entries for the price of 1 ticket per Degen NFT used, as well as allow you to be selected as the SLMF. We think that is all very advantageous!
How long do I have to claim my prize?
Claiming must be done within 7 days after we announced we have a 👑TUD. If after 7 days the 👑TUD doesn't claim their MATIC, the MATIC will go back into the smart contract to be used in the next pool.
